Meet Mary Katherine The 34 year old school teacher who married a 12 year old student



Mary Katherine Fualaau was a 34-year-old school teacher in Burien, Washington who fell in love with her 12-year-old student, Villi Fualaau. She considered their union inseparable and fought hard to be with Fualaau.

In June 1997, they were taken to a police station after an officer caught them in Mary's car. A few months later, she was pregnant with Fualaau's daughter. She was arrested for child abuse and gave birth in May 1998, while she was awaiting sentencing.
Mary was released after serving only a three-month jail term, but she was ordered to stay away from minors, including Fualaau.

The order fell on deaf ears, as she was caught with Fualaau within two weeks of being released; she got pregnant within that short period. Mary gave birth in prison and got married to Fualaau when she finally came out of prison in 2005.
