Serial killer Robert Hansen, responsible for the murders of 17-30+ women, would abduct his victims and fly them to his isolated cabin in the Alaskan mountains, which was only accessible by boat or bush plane. He would then release them and hunt them down like wild animals using a knife or rifle.
The worst part is he'd let them run away for a while so they'd think they had a chance of escaping

Hansen was captured in 1983 and sentenced to 461 years' imprisonment without the possibility of parole. He died in 2014 of natural causes at age 75.
